The City of Diamondhead is annexing a portion of Section 28 in Township 3 South, Range 18 West, which is currently in Hot Spring County (see map below).

The city was incorporated on March 1, 2024, and has fulfilled all requirements set by the Arkansas Department of Transformation and Shared Services as per A.C.A § 14-40-101 on May 22, 2025.

The proposed annexation was decided by a vote of residents from both the Diamondhead Garland County side and the affected area in Hot Spring County during the March 3, 2026, election.

The annexation was approved with the following certified results:

• Garland County: YES 205, NO 18

• Hot Spring County: YES 33, NO 6
